How do you choose your friends?

First of all, what is friendship to you?
Who do you consider a friend?
That group of people you hang with regularly?
The person next to you in class who you only talk to whenever you need something?
Or the person you talk to when you want or need to talk?

In friendship, I don't see religion or nationality. I don't see colors. I don't see sexuality or gender. I don't see the differences. And I am sure that I share that with a lot of people. But of course, we have a lot who don't. I know people who unfriended their best friends just because they were Gay or believe in a different religion or chose to follow a different denomination. And yes, I googled denomination. Personally, I lost "friends" due to our differences. And also after graduating high school, some acted like they don't know me, while others kept their distance. I am pretty sure it's because they don't need me anymore. That kept me thinking, why do people unfriend others just because of the difference? Why do they act like a friend when they just need a certain service? I would appreciate it if they came & asked me nicely for a favor without all of the faking. That would save us both time.

Now I want to hear from you. How do you choose your friends? What makes you unfriend someone? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. =]

Four years ago, I was with my mom & she was driving her car. We were headed to her mother's house to visit. I remember Ali Najim was on the radio that night, and I pointed at the car's dashboard saying: "I will work there one day". And today, I am part of the production team at "Refresh", the second biggest radio show on Marina FM & maybe also in Kuwait!

I first tried joining the station by tweeting them on Twitter, and of course, that didn't work. Then I auditioned for one of their shows & that didn't work either. Now, earlier this year, they were asking for volunteers & without even thinking, I applied. That worked! I chose to volunteer for Refresh. After the personal interview I got accepted & started working with Ali Najim & Zainab. At first, we were a group of 14 volunteers, all fighting to stay at Marina FM. Then, almost a month later only four of us stayed. Me, Dana Al Surayya, Fatma Al Ali & Shahla Habian. Ali & Zainab saw that we were the best out of the other 10 and chose us to stay as the official production team of Refresh.

I freaking love working there! I enjoy going there every weekday & I also enjoy working with my "gurls". I am not an official employee, I just work there part-time because I also have university to attend. I love you Ali, Zainab, Dana, Fatma, Shahla & Talal Malik, who I also work with frequently. They are my second family.

OMAR WATCHES: Scream (TV Show)

If you knew me since I was probably 10 years old, you would know that I was OBSESSED with the Scream movies. My brothers had all three parts on VHS & I used to watch them very frequently even though "Ghostface" scared me to death. And now, MTV has the television adaption of the movies. The first episode of season one aired on July 30th of this year & of course, I watched it live. I don't usually watch TV shows live, but Scream had to be an exception. I wasn't disappointed at all to be honest. I enjoyed every minute of the first episode.

Description: "What starts as a YouTube video going viral soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town's troubled past."

  1. Ghostface's mask was changed. I don't really know why, but I think It has something so to with copyright.
  2. Some episodes were slow. Things could go a little faster, but I'm still enjoying my time watching.

  1. EVERYTHING ELSE! I am really liking this show a lot.

While we're talking about TV shows, we are only a month away from American Horror Story: Hotel! And I am so looking forward for this season because HELLO! Gaga is starring in it! And the writer, Ryan Murphy, also mentioned that Jessica Lange is free to join the season at anytime & I have this strong feeling that she will. Let's pray for the best!
