First of all, what is friendship to you?Who do you consider a friend?
That group of people you hang with regularly?
The person next to you in class who you only talk to whenever you need something?
Or the person you talk to when you want or need to talk?
In friendship, I don't see religion or nationality. I don't see colors. I don't see sexuality or gender. I don't see the differences. And I am sure that I share that with a lot of people. But of course, we have a lot who don't. I know people who unfriended their best friends just because they were Gay or believe in a different religion or chose to follow a different denomination. And yes, I googled denomination. Personally, I lost "friends" due to our differences. And also after graduating high school, some acted like they don't know me, while others kept their distance. I am pretty sure it's because they don't need me anymore. That kept me thinking, why do people unfriend others just because of the difference? Why do they act like a friend when they just need a certain service? I would appreciate it if they came & asked me nicely for a favor without all of the faking. That would save us both time.
Now I want to hear from you. How do you choose your friends? What makes you unfriend someone? Share your thoughts in the comments section below. =]
